Candle | Soap Care

Trim the Wick
Before each burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch to help prevent soot buildup and encourage a smooth, even flame.

Set the Stage with the First Burn
Allow your candle to burn long enough for the wax to fully melt across the surface during the first use. This helps prevent tunneling and sets the stage for an even burn each time.

Burn in Moderation
To avoid overheating and protect the integrity of your candle vessel, do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Create a Safe Glow
Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, pets, and anything flammable.

Extinguish Gently
Use a candle snuffer or softly blow out the flame to avoid splattering wax. Avoid using the lid to put out the flame, as it can trap heat and cause the container to crack.

Soap Care

Keep Your Bar Dry Between Uses
To extend the life of your handmade soap, always place it on a well-draining soap dish. Sitting in pooled water will cause it to soften and melt faster.

Let It Breathe
Natural soaps need air to stay fresh! Store unused bars in a cool, dry place, preferably not airtight to allow the bar to breathe and retain its natural scent and texture.

Cut Into Smaller Pieces
For less waste and longer use, consider cutting your soap bar in half. This way, you can rotate between pieces and help them last longer.

Use a Washcloth, Loofah, or Sponge
Lather your soap with a cloth or sponge rather than directly on your skin. It’ll help your bar last longer and create a luxurious, creamy lather.
